The aim is to provide an authentic voice for crime writing for the Capital, something which I think the city deserves. The first title, by Ben Gaunt, is South of the River: Running on Empty, a contemporary urban crime thriller that is fast-paced and tough, with uncompromising dialogue and dark humour.
LondonCrimeWorks is a new and exciting imprint for crime thrillers about London and its people.
I am convinced that the book will be of particular interest to all crime fiction readers but especially south Londoners as the location of the narrative is set entirely on the south side of the Thames - Lambeth, Southwark and Wandsworth. The characters and situations are as diverse as the cultures that create contemporary south London street-life - the habits, customs and language, spoken and unspoken.
